Title: Nforce 2 boards.... anywhere i can buy new?

the bosses machine has bust its caps from overheating and i need a new nforce 2 board ideally.

cant find any listed on the sites i know and was wondering if there are any still out there i can get a hold of?

Im sure one of eBuyer, Aria, Dabs or Micro Direct had some A7N8Xs when I was looking the other week.

just checked ebuyer, listed but stock marked as overdue  :(

Just an update, spotted a blowout board of the same family on ebuyer and should be here tomorrow, hopefully get him running again before hes back.

cheers though brummie, might get that one for myself and take gregmoss up on that xp3200

blooming thing still isnt working,
looks like a knackered cpu as before id posted any of this, id found it hung while booting initially,
the bios said it was reading as 69oC before I took it to bits and found the main motherboard caps blown. (rear 120 mm fan had siezed solid)
was hoping it was just the mainboard.

while booting up it hangs on the black n white dos "starting windows..." screen after the progress bar goes all the way across.
booting windows setup off the cd hangs and sometimes even the bios screens hang, tried underclocking it and id got memtest running ok from a sloppy.
itd crap out at its rated stock speed with errors.

not got a spare processor here atm without striping down someones machine so i cant really check it (certantly not striping one down this close to the weekend).

ah well might have to order two new pcs for the IT department after all....  im due an upgrade anyhow ;)  :mrgreen:
