Soz..

Whats the practical range for a decent wireless mouse? Battery life?

Recommend me a nice one thats not too expensive?

Obligitary rant:

Im sick of this ms thing doing random stuff and Im sick of my telly and soundcard remotes eating a battery everytime I change channel. So I figure if I can get a nice mouse with a range of metres or so I can kill 3 birds with one stone.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

I use my MS Wireless Explorer 2.0 a couple of metres (and an armchair) between it and the receptor blob. The batteries last for months- I dont know how long exactly!
My older Bluetooth explorer (bigger arched shape) is more comfy but I use rechargers in that as you only get a few weeks out of them.

This one combines the shape of the first and the newer battery life with the bluetooth of the second, both the others have been obsoleted:

Does the model number relate to resolution? Im not too bothered about games really.

My MX700 works to about 4 or 5 meters dispite its claimed range of only 2. It is 4 years old and the battery has never gone flat on me yet, even when left in a box off charge for a week.

I dread the day it breaks, because theres not a mouse on the market Id happily replace it with.
