Title: Ok heres one for the Linux masses that not even the mighty Google can answer !
Post by: Mardoni on August 16, 2006, 21:21:22 PM
Although Ive been quite, I have been continuing to experiment and play with Ubuntu  :shock:  :lol:

Ive now got my test machine setup and running pretty much everything I want;

WinApache2, MySQL, PHP, Webmin, Samba, PPTP Server and Shorewall !

But I do have a couple of problems that I cannot find the answers too:

1) I dont know who to get Webmin to load at boot time.
2) I cannot get the PPTP server to load at boot time either !
3) I cannot get the PPTP server to forward DNS / NETBios packets ??

Any help on any of these would be greatfully accepted :)

...and then I have to do it all again on my real server once I am happy I can replicate the results :D

While i dontr have specific andswers, getting a program to boot at start up is quite easy.

Use either B.U.M or system/preferences/sessions

Might be worth switching on the appropriate services with:

$ sudo sysv-rc-conf

This will allow you to edit runlevels. BE CAREFUL
