Title: Oldish (dance?) music.
Post by: White Giant on April 11, 2008, 22:38:42 PM
Over the past week Ive found myself listening to a lot of Chicane and Robert Miles, and actually quite enjoying it - which is odd as I tend to stick to metal mostly.

Any suggestions for similar stuff, or can anyone remeber the URL for the site that linked similar artists in a nice clickable diagram thingy?

Those are all house

proper dance music was the likes of Dj Sci - was popular over here, where the dance music scene was (For some reason) a lot better than over there at the time

Been playing with the Last.fm player, seems to be quite good, getting lots of similar stuff.

This last.fm player is freaky, at first when I put an artist in I thought it was looking through my mp3s as it played all my favourite tracks but now its giving less mainstream kinda stuff. Very cool. (Regarding metal here).

When I look for stuff thats like Robert Miles it all sounds generic, maybe my brain isnt wired for dance/trance. :)
