Title: onboard graphics prob

how do i disable the onboard graphics on a emachine 3016, there aint owt in the bios and no jumpers on mobo...the mobo is a winfast 6100k8.....come on chaps need to get my 6600gt in the pci slot

just plug it in and it will sort itself out and disable the onboard

Aye, that is true, but sometimes thee is an option to boot from PCIe first. If there is, you know what to do :D It should do it automatically.

If not then what motherboard is it... we can prolly help you more if we know what it is.

click the link and tell us if thats the motherboard or not :D

i looked around for a manual but none of their sites had it, i bet its not a motherboard they sell in a retail box and all units are directly sent to system builders.

Yeh i did notice that mate, however i found that information on the Emachines unofficial support forums that had a comprehensive list of systems and their mainboards, its worth a try if it looks the same it might be branded differently.
