I have had an idea for an online shop. Think I have found a niche  

I would need to start from scratch, and i dont really know what needs doing.

i assume i would need to reg a domain, get hosting then get a site made up?
is that right? any thing else.

any help would be great, sounds expensive already though :shock:

reg a domain at 123-reg for about Ã,£6 for 2 years

Get a host, say etglobalsolution for Ã,£15 per year

Use the shop script that comes from the host for free

Set up and job done within the hour.
Just need the DNS to filter through (48hrs max)

if you really think its going to take off, talk to someone whos done it before and get them in on it, youll be much better off in the end !

Youd also need to register as a sole trader and all that crap with the inland revenue, or theyll come a hunting ye with the tax.

As pointed out, technically, its piss easy to set one up...

The actual backroom processing (sorting orders, billing, dispatching etc.) could be a monumental ball ache. Punters wont tolerate any issues such as these affecting their orders, ive thought about doing something similar, but its no small task.
