Now then, other than Zelda and Mario & Sonic what games would people suggest?
Wii Fit is great fun.

Im friendly with the dude at GS i bought it from, his comment was "Dont ask about Wii Fit". I dont want it, but the GF does. However they are selling them before they get them in at my local GS. The waiting list is about 120 long.
Get friendly with someone at a tescos or similar. It seems to me that my Dad is able to get things in demand pretty easily. Hes gotten both a 360 and a Wii Fit at times when theyve been pretty much out of stock in general. Seems that living in Ferndown (OAP central) means both that the tesco shop doesnt get much tech in, but the stuff they do get in isnt in too much demand. It also means that generally things like Wii Fits never make it to the shelves as the staff "buy" them before they get put out. With a 10% discount too :D
Indeed places like Supermarkets and Toys R Us are good places to get thigns that are out of stock everywhere else :)
Id say grab a copy of Smash Bros. when its released next week. Ive been playing the US version for a while now and its a really fun game to play with friends.
Zelda continues to be useful long after youve finished it. :) :ptu:

I doubt ill be using homebrew stuff, or chipping it. Ill buy one or two new games every six months. The rest will be 2nd hand.

Just checked those this morning as i was heading up to Borders (next door to Toys r Us for me), and Asda. Neither had them in stock. largish town here, and Nintendo arent going to ramp up production unless they have to. Guy I bought the console off is a buddy anyway, hes going to keep me informed so i can tell the GF when they get them in, but hes not expecting to reach the end of the list for at least a month.
mario galaxy is great, unless you want to play with friends then no good
Wii fit is great fun, also just released a skiing game for it too which is good.
Mario kart, great multiplayer game
tbh i think wii sports is still one of the better games
o, if you like football pro evo is very good unique controls
Mario Kart is one of the most addictive games Ive ever played, get it!

Looks like the community is already onto a workaround though.
And theyve nailed it. (http://hackmii.com/2008/06/twilight-hack-v01beta1/) :D :ptu:

I hope Nintendos engineers see the funny side.
Next question. Do I want a 360 Pro + GTA, or a 360 Elite with no games as a freebie with my new phone?
Greater minds than me are here. Ive got ~25 old Xbox games, but no new games. Im leaning towards the Pro, but the Elites larger HDD is kind of attractive.
Unless youre the sort of person that downloads films and stuff or writes games to your HDD then the pro should be fine.
And is the HDD upgradeable in the 360 like it is in the PS3?

The HDD is only really upgradable with official MS drives, although there is a way to swap your drive with another but you have to get a certain model of drive.
As for which console to get, it all depends on how you will use it. If you are only going to play retail games on it and download the odd demo or two get the Pro, but if, like me, you get hooked on the Xbox Live Arcade games and download a lot of demos and vids and stuff, then the bigger drive really does come in handy.
Ordered the 6500 Slide, 360 Pro and GTA4. Seemed the best deal. Plus ill get 40% per month once the contract is sorted out. so £26 a month for the contract. I may even be really cheeky in 6 months and drop my contract down to a lower tariff.
