Couple of OSX questions;

1) What format does iTunes store music tracks in when you rip a CD?

2) Where does it store it?

3) Can I transfer those tracks to iTunes on a Windows machine?

I dont want to use OSX for my music collection.

aac by default but you can change that in preferences to MP3
