Has anyone seen or heard anything about a dual CPU socket 775 motherboard ?

I quite fancy a dual C2D or a Q2D setup and Im wondering if there is even hardware available to do it ?

Id think youd have to look at Xeon boards and put dual-core Xeons in it, The same as if you want dual AMD chips you need a dual Opteron board.

edit: just looked, and its a socket LGA771 board youd need.

Bah, Ive got a dual Xeon server. Theres no fun in try to run one of those quietly on your desktop

Ive allways wanted to have a play with dual cpu rigs but never got round to doing anythin.

I run Windows 2000 AS on my Dual Xeon and its Ok.

Very occasionally Windows does not distribute processes across the CPUs evenly and that is a tad annoying (especially when they are intensive processes).

I keep meaning to upgrade the OS to Win2003ES but I never get a chance :/
