- They kept the Star Trek movie cannon with spoke setting up the alternate timeline going back in time with red matter when he was trying to save Romulus from the sun going super nova. This was a brave move but I think a great one. For Future star trek series moving on from the same old enemy races I think is key.
- Hugh is back!
- Human android hybrids are clearly a threat of some kind.
Borg stuff:
- There was only one Romulan ship assimilated and Romulans do not recover a full mental state - Both these are interesting.
- I always wondered about the true origins of the borg, they are technically synthetic organic hybrids and they are indicating a deeper understanding from Romulans in regards to them and synthetic life and not liking it. This is all going to get linked together I think.
- Doctor Daystrom was clearly some way off after the next generation from creating his own androids. Data existed, Lore Existed and lesser versions of them. Data had real flesh added to him by the Borg in movies and must have kept up research himself on stuff. The show indicates he and Daystrom kept in regular contact sharing research so with B4 at the end of the last movie they clearly made headway after data's passing by quite some margin and so far as to create human androids. They hint to parts of Data's brain so did some part survive? Lots of twits and turns to come I feel.
- You are right, someone controlled the androids but who and to what end?
- Defiantly like the style - It is a cross between Discovery, last next gen movies and the new ones bringing them all together - I think they done well here.
Did you see when Patrick Stewart came onto a daytime show and offered Whoopie to come for season 2? That is a cool video on youtube - She was SOOO HAPPY!
