Ive got a strange problem that I cannot work out and tbh its driving me nuts...

I have a Logitech G5 mouse plugged into an Asus P5P800-VM mobo.

Sometimes when I move the mouse a high pitched buzz comes from somewhere inside the PC. The buzz only lasts for as long as the mouse is moving. I cannot for the life of me work out what is causing it or what is different to make it occur.

Any ideas ?

I had that a while ago with my old cabled optical mouse.
Turned out it was the mouse itself that was making the noise, I just replaced it.

With my PC Ill get a small sort of feedback noise through the speakers/headphones but it doesnt really effect me. I however dont know what it is that causes... anyone know ? Its along the same lines I think, no?

Well...

I think Ive solved all my PC woes in one hit.

I replaced the 350W PSU with a 500W Antec Energy Efficent number and *touch wood* everythings been spangerly since :)

I cannot believe I was trying to run my setup on a 350W, I couldve sworn it was a 450W !

is the G5 the cordless one with the little battery charging station with a usb pass through port on it ?

if it is, then mine is the G5 too (i tink it is anyway)... but it used to cause the same thing with my old shuttle !

and if theres no sound comming out of the PC but the speakers are turned up... then i get the buzz through the speakers !

Nah this is a wired mouse. The one with the weight pack in the bottom for the ultimate balanced mouse (lol).
