going off the price of 499 euro on the ps3 resource its gonna be 342 odd for the 20gb one which is at 499 Euros and 499 dollars, 60gb gonna be 599 dollars, will proably be 599 Euros and Ã,Â£410.

Dont bet on it. $ != ? You are effectively paying $642 for the $499 one apparently.

im not taking the dollar to pound conversion rate, i was using the euro to pound as Europe is most likely more accurate, I saw it on the ps resource site had both yen, dollar and euro pricing, and do remember the pricing in the US is far people due to taxes etc.

But why would there be a change for Euros to UK. If you read that report it says they have given the pricing for Japan, US and Europe.

Says that the base PS3 wont come with memory stick etc parts or a HDMI connection.

Is that HDMI connection or cable? Does that mean the entry level player cannot play BD movies because it does not have the necessary HDMI connection?

According to the BBC the UK price will be Ã,Â£425. According to the Sony UK representative this is due to VAT. Bollocks! In the presentation at E3 the Sony representative said ?499 which includes VAT. ?499 = Ã,Â£340. So that will be a VAT rate of 32%!

In terms of cost, Ill bet its a direct $1 = Ã,Â£1 costing. It always is and why would Sony suddenly be gentle to "Treasure Island" consumers ?

There was some nice stuff there, but for me they just copied Nintendo and MS on several areas, the joypad as you say, the live content interface is a rip off of xbox live for example.

Although the games looks stunning they dont look like the trailers of last year, that was bound to happen, but Sony need to learn to not to pretend all the time, every console they have done that.

Scrapping their own design of joystick, then not bothering to work on a new one and just use the old one and then rip off Nintendo is kind of a disapointment for me.

Well they added the live content interface as a sort of last minute thing since not including one (or not including a universal gamer tag / onling gaming system) would be utterly stupid.

Forgot to add, they copied the spring loaded trigers from ms, and the live button thing as well.

Honestly Sony have let me down there, sure it may be a good controler but come on, be orginal and make something you design. Not just take the old one, shove other guys things into it and say "new controler for the win!"

The controler has no rumble, they recon people did not want it. But i recon they couldnt fit it in.
The controler, watching E3 blog vids - is a week old! Talk about rushing it at the last minute :?
