Title: PS3 Price Cut in Japan and HDMI...
Post by: Chanser on September 22, 2006, 05:37:41 AM
In Japan, only the 20GB PS3 gets a price cut and the the 20GB PS3 will get HDMI included worldwide.
So who needs 60GB PS3? :P

THey had to do it, interesting that they are not price cutting the 60GB version... also have to ask the question of what are they thinking doing hardware changes this close to release

Well considering the Xbox 360 can do 1080p via software update, I guess this is Sony response.

The fact that they can make such a change at this "late" date is worrying.  Is the design/spec finalised?  Seems not.

Thats the thing aint it, they still have not given the spec for the ps3 final version and they also cant aford to do the price cut worldwide and looks like they only tring to get their Japan fanbase all sweet and cosy but with even less spec then they first anounced.

GG Sony keep cocking it all up

At the Tokyo game show Sony had demo games of some titles playable at last but their machines were in cases and were not plugged in so the demos were running on the big demo machines.

I got a feeling that those big machines do what Sony want the ps3 to do but cant get the actual machine to do it and I bet that specs will be quite a bit lower then what they said it would be on final release spec.
