If so where can it be found? I am looking to basically use the PC to update contacts etc... rather that using the phone.

its just a WM5 device yes?  as in HTC Wizard/O2 XDA Mini S/T-Mobile Vario.

Just install Activesync 4.5 from the MS Site, then edits your contacts in Outlook.  You should have been given an OEM copy in the box it came in because MS Package it that way.
