Football Manager 2006 Problem

My mate has it, and has been playing it for a while now without any issues. But all of a sudden when he double clicks the exe to run it, nothing happens! Hes tried reinstalling it etc. Tried running it from the Run box

Is there anything else he could do to get it working?? He doesnt have the Net so isnt a virus/spyware issue.
