Sounds like its gonna be black and white only for now.  And still $$$$$$$$$$.

Serious

Very few people will get one, probably mostly those with more money than sense and the geeks out there who find it too tempting.

Pointless geek toy. The keys are still flat and will offer a crap typing experience even compared to my fetishized late 80s IBM and Compaq keyboards.

Beaker

i want one, if they are in colour.  Monocrome doesnt interest me in the slightest.  I expect many other folks who want one will say the same type of thing.

madmax

setting it up sounds like WAY too much hard work, imaine trying to come up with pictures for something that you hardly ever look at once you get used to using it.

i mean ffs, i touch type 60% of the time now days, the rest of the time im tired / lazy / looking for a backslash, lol

Sam

Surely its quicker to use a keyboard shortcut ?

Agreed, Im seeing this as something you would forget to use, and eventually shove in a crate somewhere.

I want my keyboard back that cost me Ã,£2.99 the first one I ever used at home, that was sweet untill the cat spilt beer on it

That should be a test of every new keyboard, "the beer test" and the "coffee test" too

im quite impressed with the Dell SK-8115s.  While i wouldnt normally look at Dell crap these are actually quite good.  Im using one at work and its pretty nice ot type on.

I dont like those myself, they catch to much of the crap, dust, dirt and stuff that falls between the keys.

i quite like them, but they are _really_ easy to clean anyway.  Actualyl a good design, and they cant be any worse than the MS Classic board im using at the moment.  That is aproper piece of crap.

After purchasing my used Dell Latitude this Summer, which is sort of like their answer to a Thinkpad, its struck me that Dell quality is either intended for corporate users or plebes, with nothing inbetween.

Depends really - been using the new Ã,£2k gaming laptops and tbh the build quality destroys my apple laptop, great keyboard and performance outshines any normal desktop PC Ive seen in games and rendering.

Dell do such a range of products its mad - they do the high end stuff too just people buy the best specs for lowest price then get shocked when the packaging and random parts are weaker.  Really thinking about picking up one of their high end systems after using it.

ARRRRRRRRRGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHHHH

theyre not british keyboards, change the layout to UK english and they have no backslash

in american english, they have no pound sign and the @ is above number 2

pure contempt for them i have, and the missing backslash is infurating on the bosss new machine because being windows network, network shares are quickest to get to using "\\machine-name\c$\" - GAHHH
