Well screw Rift its now looking sh*t! ...I got it into my head that it was going to be next year before it was out! I remember reading something about "an expected 5 year development" back in 07 so thought we would be looking at 2012.

Same interface but different colours and tweaks to it and some odd story and it looks like they made it more complicated as a solution to make it better. Never works.

SWTOR Best be good. Mass effect 1 and 2 were mental and for the time the KOTOR games were good. Bioware have the skills to make it very good, I just hope if lives up and has the legs.
Most MMO's that have been out recently that have flopped have had 1. Bad PVP combat and 2. No End level content. You got people of that new DC MMO just standing around after leveling to the top level in basically hours.

The above game looks more like a rehash/clone of Warhammer and LOTRO than WOW tbh.

Rift is £25 on Pre-Order at Game, i've looked over the site, it looks like a good game, seems to have good feedback from the community, the next Beta event last about a week and starts on the 15th so i'm downloading the client now.

Don't forget Guild Wars 2, Arena.net are taking a new playable Demo to PAX in March, and there are plenty of long gameplay videos knocking around now, GW2 looks to be shaping up quite well, its going to be a big decision on what to play at the end of the year, but i've stuck by GW2 so we will have to see.

 I have watched these guys preview vids: http://www.youtube.com/user/BlueXephos I think its looking like it could be quite good and well polished, all the different combos of skills looks like it could be interesting to play with.

I got to into last weekend's beta event but the email ended up in my junk folder and I didn't notice it until Sunday so with needing to download the client I didn't get chance to have a play but am looking forward to have a good look at it on the 15th and will then decide if to order the game or not

I tried downloading lastnight but it wanted all my bandwidth with no way to limit it so i had to stop the download, when i went back in it wanted to start from the beginning again so i gave up Let me know how the game goes from the 15th and i might join you in purchasing it.
