but are we actually seeing the mulithreaded software needed to give this a point beyond bragging rights?

I mean, dual core or dual CPU is great for multi tasking (I had 2x CPUs before it was cool ), and if you use enough really heavy apps then Quad might be nice, but sextuple is really getting into the realms of "but why would I need that?"

Of course Im a little out of the loop these days, I may just have missed the fact that a lot of modern software is seriously multithreaded, and if that is the case, wooohooo!
