Theres already a lot of fuss over the wireless.

When you share a song over the wireless interface with another Zune it will automatically wrap it in DRM, regardless of where the music has come from. This DRM means the song can only be played 3 times, or lasts 3 days, whichever comes first.

Now fair enough to those with actual copyrighted material i.e. the major labels. What about all the people with their own created content? Public domain works? Creative Commons licensed materials?

This actually violates the Creative Commons License and breaks copyright law so a lot of people are making noise about it already. Some argue that its not MS that is cauing the infringment, its the users who are doing it by choosing to transmit the songs; its their action that wraps it in DRM.

DRM issues aside, if the player can be hacked to run homebrew I can see it being fairly good. Would be nice to have some larger disk sizes. As to whether it beats the iPod I doubt it. The fact it wont do Plays4Sure infected files means that MS are just bringing another DRM crippled device to the market with no established base to work with.
