Lol £25 is a lot for you though :D
it's the most I've ever spend on a game since.... erm.... I think I paid about £15 for syndicat wars when it was just out..... when my P133 was a top spec machine.... must have been about....14 years ago ?

Worth it for the box alone, I still have mine
I've still got mine too !!!
that is was awesome!... I might play it again.... but I've got a feeling it might not live up to my memory of it :-(
I tried to play it again recently and discovered the woes of no frame limiter, it needs a bit of faff to get it running properly. Awesome game though :D
Back OT, so what's going to make Portal 2 so special that everyone is rushing to buy it?
portal 1 was awesome.... and portal 2 is multilayer :o
Oh yes, this is going to be f**king awesome.
Best dig out my headphones, as the wife hates the voice of Glados.
Gay-me sent mine out today, with a little luck it will arrive for tomorrow (I use game for this reason solely, as they often come 1 day early  )
I'm intrigued as to how cross platform is gonna work, I hope this purchase allowing for me to play using both PS3/PC sets the way forward tbh
Shopto.net sent mine today too, so hopefully it will be here tomorrow.
They usually do :D
You get a steam overlay on the PS3, linking your PSN account to Steam.
had it on steam since 10am yesterday (downloaded days ago, couldn't play it tho)
haven't had time to play it tho :-(
only played for erm... was going to say 5 min but it was 30.....
it's FRICKING AWESOME !
I think i'll wait to try it at yours then before i make a rash decision to purchase it, i was saving that £30 Gift Card for a special occasion :P

If you want it on PC you will probably be able to pick it up super cheap when a ton of PS3 owners try and flog their PC steam codes on eBay
QuotePortal 2 specifically has come under fire for supposed consolification and the addition of an in-game store already littered with optional content and character accessories for the co-operative campaign.

20 mins in, bored, and so far not at all funny :-X
oh edit, it does LOOK good though (ps3)
This had better get good and fast, played about 2 hours now and it's very samey :dunno:
I'm really struggling to see what everyones raving about, as for the PS3s visuals being very good (they are) I tried it on my pc with everything cranked in 1080, it looks brill
I'm quite enjoying it. I've escaped the labs and started off down a big hole. With a sign, that says "In Case Of Flooding, Seek Air pockets"

With no spoilers, how long did it take you to get out the labs, I assumed it would have to happen at some point, but I've spent a couple of hours playing so far just doing very portal 1y puzzles with extra bits ('woo') and its getting a bit dry
About 2-3 hours. I spent ages stuck on chamber 17 and 18.
Done, about 8 (maybe more? not sure) hours to complete, got a bit tiring towards the end with the none stop puzzles but it is pretty good, though not OMG good as all the reviewers are saying.
Had a longer go on the PC version, it looks gorgeous, tbh I wish I played it on my PC now!
Been playing it a bit today and liking the single-player but I bought it mainly for the co-op and since Sony decided to take the PSN servers offline on Wednesday, I've been unable to play that part of the game.

It's appaling tbh  I'm glad I can play it on PC at least.

I think the whole game will take 7-10 hours depending how you pace yourself. I spread it out over a couple of days, it is thoroughly enjoyable. I think the trouble with the first section of the game is that it is trying to be accesible for new players while trying to be fresh and integrate it with a story.
Be patient, the dynamic of the game changes at a good pace the further you go into it.
As per previous post I have already completed it
The storyline is very good, I played quite a bit of it again on my PC as it really does look that much better.
PS3 version is now for sale on fleabay :yarr:
