Can someone recommend me a set of speakers for around £75 ? Nothing that richer sounds sell though.

Youll be buying out in the US? I gather Polk audio do half decent entry level bookshelfs in your price bracket (around $140). Youll probably also get some JBLs in that range out there too. Id go to a hifi/av shop and ask to hear a few sets in your range as you wont find a lot of the brands we have out there, you can always order online later after a quick demo.

Amazon is full of polk. Are they good, cos Id never heard of them before. Also there are some JBLs but again Im unsure on this brand.....

Polk Ive heard mentioned positively before on US audio forums, JBL you should recognise as they are quite common here too, pubs and such tend to use JBL speakers in their soundsystems.

Everything is so expensive here tho. You basically have Dixons (bestbuy) and more expensive Dixons (circuitcity). So I wanted to stick to amazon.

want me to check if i get discount with BestBuy or not?  I think its 33% off most things if they are extending it to the UK arm.

Sam

possibly, the company i work for is 50% owned by Best Buy, and 50% by Carphonewarehouse.  Ive fired off an e-mail about it to one of the yanks to see what he says.
