I want sorta:

Dual Core
2gb Ram
whateverGB hdd
DVDR
~7600gt graphics
Vista Premium
Wireless

Sommink like this PC ..but not from novatech. Any suggestions? I cba to self-build unless theres a huge saving.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Cypher

Dell Dimension / Dimension XPS / XPS.

Beaker

Scan 3XS series?
would sooner Have branded parts than Dell sh*t.

Pete

I had a look at the dell ones but it says on the customize bit that the Core 2 duo cpus arent compatible with vista premium  :?

edit: can shuttles take full size pci-e cards?

Shakey

Yup, the take normal everything, cept you can only have 2 pci/pci-x cards (or 1 if your gfx has a huge cooler on it) and they come with their own cpu fan.

Pete

ah, I got too much stuff to fit in a shuttle :(

According to ebugger I can do either:

X2 5000
2gb
7600gt
Mobo
= Ã,£345

or

E6400
2gb
7600gt
Mobo
= Ã,£355

Which option is bestest?

Serious

Id give it another few weeks for them to sort out Vista, they are still finding things that dont work easily. Latest being internet install disks (although I havent used one since leaving 56kbit).

I assume novatech have gone downhill?

Pete

I dunno, but everytime Ive bought from them its been sh*t.

Core 2 not compatible? I have Vista Premium setup with a Core 2 6300, 1gb ddr2, 80gb sata, 7300GS and wireless.... works really well.

Some sites do talk/spec nonsense.

A couple of guys I work with just got 2 monster spec PCs for the office from Mesh for under a grand. They seem very happy.
