I watched it on Saturday and it was brilliant, the best bit had to be the farscape parody. Wonder what theyll do for their 300th episode, if they get that far...

The Farscape scene was the best as it worked so well with having Ben Browder and Claudia Black in it, and having Daniel play the part of John was a great idea.

Thought it was funny, but I was in the mood for action and both Atlantis and SG1 was weak on that front too.

The TV show still doing well but the Tv Channel comnpanies cant afford it and the cast/staff anymore and doing all they can to produce less viewing ratings and have an excuse to axe it.
And oh look only just loosing viewers due to their changes and they axe another seasons, lol.
Talk about blatent, lol.
Mind you there are movies on the way for stargate, apperently based on first movie rather then serires, will have to see.

Space above and beyond was turning into something special, I mean it had millions of viewers in the UK and was on at 1am in the morning, lol.
Production costs to high so they canned it and it was very good and could have had a long run.
Firefly as well was another hit show and the movie also yet they canned that, the producers looking to do a second season and find other sources etc.
Some other shows they have done it to as well.
Although Battlestar is really good they will can that in brutal way as well soon with production costs and actors looking for more cash as the show goes on.
Sky gets good viewing and create good slots for these things, I think they should take on things like stargate themselfs bskyb would do well to.

I hardly consider it the end of SG-1 and wouldnt take it for fact untill they really do stop making it. The fact is every year the series has been written with Cliffhanger ending in mind if it was to be the last series and every year the series has been renewed for another year By Sci-Fi.

Id be interested to see some sort of ratings graph since it started, just to see when it was at its most popular and what its been like over the last few seasons. Then compare that as well to the start of other series like Battlestar, it might be that SG1 did so well for so long cause there wasnt many decent sci-fi series about. Either wayif it does go then itll be a shame, nowt like settling down on a Saturday night to watch the latest Stargates and whatever else.
Well just have to see what happens, hopefully another network will pick it up, or maybe theyll look at doing some sort of stargate movie.

Not quite all of it but series but 6 through 9 (Millions). Blatently ripped from another forum who someone else put together.
You can see what happend with series 9 which really got a slow start. Things have only really been getting interesting in the series as of late.

To me it still looks like for the most part S8 & S9 did better thanS6 & S7, alright S9 had quite a dip at the end but overall Id say they were higher.
Its also a bit odd to drop it after just a quarter of the season, as you said before it must just be getting too expensive.

Yeah, its what they have done with any other series when their money number crunchers think the cost to profit ratio aint enough.
9 has better figures then most other shows looking at that and not enough of a dip, 10 seems to have been messed around with less adverts slot times etc for it.
Channel is being retarded again, done it and anoyed people for so many other shows, they really need a kick up the ass by somone.

I havent seen it since the end of S8 and seeing as C4 as stopped showing it I will have to wait for the S9 boxset to come out.
