Yeah its quite good fun actually, not overly taxing (yet) but a good game to get your teeth into for a while.  Id definetly reccomend it to anyone who likes the original UFO/TFTD and it should be dirt cheap these days, just be sure to patch it I heard the unpatched version is buggy as hell.  New one coming out soon too, UFO Afterlight.

sounds good I might have to get hold of that, I had no idea they were still making UFO games

Runs fine on my machine, 1280x1024.

AthlonXP 2500 @ 2.2Ghz, and 1.5Gb ram, and 9800pro 128mb.

Nos

Does it support widescreen resolutions? Native for my monitor is 1680*1050.

Quixoticish

Is no-one else really annoyed by the big, clunky UI?

Sweenster

not really annoyed, it aint fantastic, but tbh, the gameplay makes up for it

aoe3 had the same thing with the ui in the demo but they fixed it for retail. Hopefully theyll do the same.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Leon

I didnt even notice the UI being too big.

Also someone says they dont support widescreen? I noticed it would let me go up to 1920x1200 (wish i had the computer that would run the game at that) - Im currently running the demo fine at 1360x1024 and it looks fine on my 24" Dell

yup i saw listings for widescreen ress (1280x720 etc) before i hit 1280 x1028,
not scrolled up to your res though, but its a new game and id be sure it does the 2000+x1600+ ress

it definatly suports dual screens natively, so you can finally use that second port on your GFX at the same time ingame.
I didnt see anything about triple though i know matrox make a triple head adapter and you can supply ress on the command line for it.

i suppose in theory you could have a six screen setup with two of those adapters and using both outputs at silly wide :D
