The original server has just f'd it's HDD.
I've got a Pentium 4 2.60, 1.5gb Ram and a 40gb HDD that will become the new server, running a gui-less Linux distro.

Server change, as that one was f**ked.

It's now a Sempron, 2gb ram running MineOS.

If someone could test it, it's on my own ADSL connection.  The backups from the original server are also screwed.

I'll try and get it moved to it's proper location this afternoon, update the IP address and get it running again.

TBH I'm refusing to touch it anymore, I spent a whole evening building a new pad, on that server the other day, first time I have been on in a while because the servers kept falling over, and it happens again, just largely seems to be a waste of time, are you running any backups on the new server?

Yeah,  there are backups now. Both fulland incremental ones. The new server has a web console,  so I can give you the details if you want.  You can then log in and hit the big backup button.

Edit.

Just set up cron so that it will take a backup every 4 hours.
