A portal somewhere in/near the homebase would be good (but not where it can be hit by a creeper).

I must have been getting confused from warping, I thought my skybase was much nearer to the homebase as I would get there from warping to town1, but town1 is in a completely different place to where I thought it was (which is where the other town on the map is). It seems as though I have a direct line back to the greenhouse, so I will set up a massive underground tunnel next

I'll do one just off the coast then, or I could just put one on top of the offshore banking centre

Near the skybase there is a single stone tower, under it is a tunnel which goes directly back to my house (purely by mistake I was mining for diamonds and thought I'd come to the surface to see where I was! More than happy for it to be used for a track! If someone helps get the resources for the track I'll even lay it? It's going to need a lot! it's miles away!

Oh and if we have another central station, I suggest we make it from obsidian!

I've started work on a sky transport system but have run out of cobblestone. Currently it connects the homebase with skybase. I'm wondering if there's some kind of elevator that could be constructed, other than massive ramps with minecarts?

If you need more cobblestone feel free to raid my chest in the skytower, there should be some in there
