Title: The "Toys" thread, Your fun hardware...
Post by: Beaker on August 08, 2008, 21:31:46 PM
Quick Idea I had for a thread.  What "pointless" hardware have you got that you actually think is pretty good?

At the moment Im rather enjoying my Saitek GH20 headphones (http://www.saitek.com/uk/prod/gh20.htm)

I figured vibrating headphones where pretty pointless, only got them because they are comfortable and cheap.  However the vibration on them makes gaming way better.  Also for watching movies they rock.  Though normally I turn the vibration off.

I got these from PCWorld a few years ago, they have excellent sounds and brilliant for Playing EVE.

I can leave the PC and get food or read a book or watch TV and jsut wait for the audio alerts as my ship follows waypoints on autopilot  8-)

These are my tipple atm. Had them for a few months now and far superior to any 5.1 headset I had in the past. The range on these HD280 Pro headphones is amazing.

I can definitely put my camera in here. I dont need a £1000 Canon 40D camera and 28-135 lens but it is nice.

My 47" LCD TV monitor fits here too.

I miss my toys back home, in fact I miss having internet access when not at work. Its amazing how often you rely on it for simple information / directions / cinema times / train times etc without really thinking about it.
