Well my logitech MX1000 has finally succumb to the coke spillage that it encountered some time ago, now its double clicking randomly and pissing me off!

So.. I ordered a Logitech Performance Mouse MX.. you know the darkfield laser £60-80 mouse.. but its out of stock so I'm still waiting.
My logitech DiNovo cordless keyboard is looking rather 2nd hand these days as well, so I thought the logitech K800 keyboard looks pretty sweet! £80-90

But.. since there's a delay on the mouse.. i got to thinking.. what would you guys recommend?

What I'm looking at so far:

So is there something better or an alternative you would recommend?

I'd love a Logitech illuminated keyboard, I'd have wired though. Typing on them is supposed to be excellent too, its not just paying for pretty backlit keys (or silly dayglo 'gamer' keys instead).

i dont think i can go wired after being wireless for so long, 10 days between recharges is pretty good as well

I'd stick with Wireless, but spending £30 on a Keyboard and Mouse for me is my limit, i play all games on a standard MS Desktop Wireless Kit, the 3000 i believe with Bluetrack.

PS. The one i posted in Bargains :P

I'll be very interested to hear what teh keyboard is like, as soon as I'm able to I'll be getting the wired version.

Its solid, the keystrokes are great, the lighting is good and if you just get near it the light comes on.. how it does that I have no idea!   :ptu:

LOL I'd imagine it's got a movement sensor like the harmony remote, it's really sensitive, and I mean really, if it's on the sofa and you walk past it'll light up..

Its like magic man! lol tis good though glad I went for it.. even though it was rather expensive

Serious

My vote would have gone for an original IBM model M (silver label) keyboard, proper mechanical keys. Built like a tank, fabulous for typing and games. Mine is better than any keyboard I've tried since, and I have tried a lot of keyboards including several M$ natural ones and the Logitech equivalents  Wub

Despite mine being circa 1986 all they keys are fully readable and work perfectly  :w00t:  :ptu:

Then again I did prefer the IBM Selectric typewriter keyboards, although those were golfball typewriters. I've never used anything better than that.
