LOL, that was a brilliant show, role on the series, amazing beast of a jeep, but they all did a great job out there considering they are unfit.

At the end though "unfit middle aged men, mostly drunk" lol

Except Hamster isnt that unfit!

QuoteTOP Gear star Richard Hammond dumped his car stuck in floods — and RAN 16 miles to be home for his daughter's birthday.

Ten months after surviving a horror crash, Richard, dubbed Hamster, proved he is fully fit again by completing the amazing run in 2½ hours.

The Bionic Hamster had taken 13 hours to drive from West London to Gloucestershire, where he lives, in Friday's storms.

TV Richard's Porsche 911 Carrera finally stuck in traffic-clogged Cheltenham at 3am on Saturday.

But the devoted dad, who suffered a serious brain injury in last September's 288mph dragster smash, was determined to be there for daughter Willow's fourth birthday.

He abandoned the grey sports car and set off into the night, wearing a pair of old running shoes he found in the boot.

He jogged through back streets of Cheltenham to the A40 and followed the main road to a country lane leading to his home in a hamlet near Newent.

Richard, 37, arrived soaking and exhausted at 5.30 before Willow awoke.

Last night he said of her birthday: "There was no way I was going to miss it. Luckily I had my waterproof jacket with me in the car so I decided to run the rest of the way.

"It was pitch black but I just put my iPod on and went."

A pal said: "It shows his guts and determination."

Richard, who also has a daughter Isabella, seven, with wife Mindy, amazed doctors by his rapid recovery from the accident.

Sun link - no I didnt buy it, someone left a copy lying on the Tyne and Wear Metro an I was bored enough to peek.

Do not put words in peoples mouths please, thank you

Its not like they were ever going to be sent out there to do it all on their own with no backup or assistance, especially May and Clarkson. It was never about whether they could do it, it was all about who would get there first, like every classic challenge.
