Has anyone had any experience with this?  Im just not getting anywhere with it.

Ive got PXE booting, and I have made a master (sysprep) image.
When I PXE boot the target PC, and tell it to deploy, it sits there and scratches its ass.

I left one image to go overnight, and it took 5 hours to build a 4gb image.


Ive used Ghost/Ghostcast before in the past, but Im not running a RIS server.

what are you trying to do?

deploy an image across a network after a pxe boot?

Yeah.  Acronis has all the tools to do it, but I cant wait around 5 hours for it to remember what its doing.

Tried on both my Windows 7 PC and my XP Spare.
Will try with an alternate switch.

Acronis is a funny bugger.  One the issue I came accross was the licensing.  If your installing it from a server OS, it will not install a desktop OS unless you tell it to ignore the license.
