Top soundtrack, just heard the clips of it off US itunes and should be in the UK at some point soon - not the crappy first soundtrack but the proper score and some great tracks in there
Worth looking out for

Take That - Rule The World - sorry but this is growing on me a lot as well

Quixoticish

Its already out (has been for a few days) but has sold out in a lot of places as demand was so high.

It is a stunning soundtrack, the only thing that could have made it better would have been a few clips of dialogue in between the music a-la the Apollo 13 or Master and Commander soundtracks.

For anyone who is wondering this is the full Steve Jablonsky orchestral score and contains absolutely no crappy nu-metal or angsty teen american rock which littered the first Transformers soundtrack release.

Is it better than the film? Oh hang on, my recent turds were better than the film.

Couldnt beleve what i was seeing when all the robots where hiding around the house from the father of the boy when they go looking for the glasses..... after all the patience/hiding bumblebee did.....

and Michael Bay directing it..... i was geting flash backs of scenes from badboys where Will Smith and martin lawerence are geting out of a car or after escaping death or some other incident *CUE* the camera panning around there heads while geting up from the ground and that music that goes with it.... its the directors style.... and it doesnt work with robots running around earth.... maybe if it had been rated 18 bay could have had the space to work with!

They should have made it 18 and hardcore! to hell with the chilldren who cant see it, they arent old enough to know/have seen the transformers ... and if they do, i dont care! :)

Yes, the music was the only real good thing about the film bar the transform sounds and a fit girl of course

Megan Fox = win

Destructive robots = win

Good soundtrack = win

Amazing effects = win

The critical snobs are too good for this film. They can keep Crash and all that holier than thou balls, Ill stick with classic popcorn action to unwind to.

To celebrate this post Ill be putting on my uncut directors ed. Commando DVD tomorrow daytime. At high volume. Oh yes.

Pete

^ You cant mention Commando and Tran******* in the same post.

I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.

Did all the people that didnt enjoy it go in expecting a Kubrick or Scorcese or something?

Its a Bay action flick, take it on face value.

Oh and FWIW, Bad Boys is an awesome film, even Martin Lawrence is alright in it.

Agreed. Im as snobbish as they come for some films and even I managed to enjoy it. Perfect amount of comedy and perfect amount of action... the perfect popcorn flick. Theres a time and a place for lots of different kinds of films, be they David Lynch or Michael Bay.

And more to the point this thread is about the soundtrack; not the film, you dont have to like the film to appreciate a good piece of scoring. Ive got the Titanic score and the Braveheart score floating around, both stunning soundtracks for films that I cant stand.

White Giant

Indeed, Dare Devil is an awful film, but has one of the best "crappy nu-metal or angsty teen american rock   " soundtracks in recent years.
