Ooooooh

Either the web team forgot the 1 year, or there is a trailer on the 4th of this year.

knighty

could take that long if its all computer animated stuff tho ?

Quixoticish

Im looking forward to this so much.

I hope they keep the theme tune to a degree and get some of the old voice actors on board.

Been some hot talk about the script.
SOUNDWAVE was in the movie but had a low key crap role which early comments showed was a bad idea since he was an important decepticon or something.
So they renamed it so soundscream or something.

Sounds like they listen to feedback though, current concerns I read about was about the human characters and to much focus on them.

I dont boast to know hardley anything about transformers but its a challenge to make a real live action movie on something as popular and as of yet untarnished (no one has gone out and made a really really bad movie or something of it.) record.
In the wrong hands it can totaly kill the whole edos of something much like X-Men 3 did.

[SPOILER ALERT]

I mean killing the two biggest characters of a whole genre like that - bonkers

So its a risk for somone like Mr Spielberg to be involved with a project like this.

Ah crap. Hes at the helm?

SPOILER BELOW:

With regards to your comment about X-Men 3, killing of charachters was the norm in X-Men canon. It allowed the introduction of new plots and charachters and stopped things getting stale; one of the reasons it was so successful.

I actually dont think they killed off enough. Jean Gray has found herself in a birth/death cycle as the Phoenix. And Proffessor X will be back; hell have transported himself to the Astral Plane as per comic-book canon, or Moira will clone him a new body or something. Prof X has a scene after the credits; its made obvious he is existing in another body. And I never liked Cyclops, so that doesnt bother me.  8)

I suppose cyclops was a no since he is a big character but he was dead off screen so may not be dead. Xavior I suppose so, What i was thinking, clone, come back Re-enter body maybe.

Beaker

Goblin

X-Men Spoiler:

Xavier is 100% not dead, if yuo think otherwise you left the cinema too early and missed the post-credit scene.
It's all fun and games until a 200' robot dinosaur shows up and trashes Neo-Tokyo... Again.

How about you reading the thread properly and you will know that we know that. the whole act of his body dying is the point we were macking.

Adrock

nexus i think the issue is you arent very clear when you post.

Characters always die in X-men, as Goblin says. So its not a problem at all that the characters died.

Back on topic though, transformers looks to be very exciting. It definitely has some pitfalls though.

Quixoticish

I dont think itll be the same without the cheesily wonderful Vince Dicola/Stan Bush soundtrack.
