I dont see how its any worse than the hundreds of war films that have been made.

It actually looks quite good. Better than Flight 93 anyway.

Plenty of war films are cheap exploitations too. Few actually show the realities and horror of war.

A film like this that romanticises and glamourises the 9/11 incident, both far too soon after and as a cheap cash cow to get fat Americans Yee Haaing in the cinema as the passengers heroics are played out on the big screen is dispicable.

What next, heroics on the tube and buses of the London bombings?

There are plenty of both film and tv exploits out there already, a cynic would say this is just one more.

Seen flight 93, which i thought was this film, but turns out its not... It was ok. Obviously a little daunting...

Just this morning watched Loose Change (2nd release) and found that very interesting.

Not sure i can sit through this after F93.

Of course there is the typical problems that go with americans producing war related films... U571, etc

Its supposed to be bearable. I saw part of Flight 93 and it was gawdawful exploitation.

There is a public fascination with that day and the film is a natural thing. Im not saying its not exploitation, it might be, but a lot of folks havent come to terms with that day--so it might be a bit cathartic. I couldnt wrap my brain around it for a few weeks. Got a call from a friend, "turn on the TV", saw the images, just couldnt process them.

I certainly processed the images, I just couldnt believe the Americans allowed it to happen.

As for the film there are plenty of them out there where people involved have complained, like the perfect wave for instance, but nothing has been done for those people.

In many cases its difficult enough for people to pull their lives together without reminders like this one.

If it sparks further inquery into the failures of that day, its worth it. Tbh, Im shocked that Kerry didnt remind the American public that the attacks happened during Bushs watch. Its amazing, let the country get attack and your polling numbers go UP!

From the reviews Ive read so far its supposed to tackle the subject well and doesnt try to exploit the tragedy but give an honest account of what those people must have gone through on those planes.

Aside from the subject matter I think it just looks total sh*t.

films like that i find normally are, especially ones involving airplanes. There was a stage of 70s films based around poor scripts and an hour of "were going to crash" rubbish
