Why the hell do they make it so that USB cables fit perfectly into a bloody RJ45 port. Just had my camera plugged into my laptop wondering why the hell it wasnt working.

Serious

:mutley: Not that I have managed this myself... :D

The B end would (you know, the square one), but PCs only accept the A plug rectangular end :?

M3ta7h3ad

nope... its the rectangle end that fits perfectly in them. Just the right size to get in there without any difficulty.

OMG really? I thought it would be too long

M3ta7h3ad

lol nope :) its juuuussst big enough so that it actually feels as if its going into a USB socket (that resistance you get.. before it clunks into place).

Has a gap up and down obviously but yeah.. fits perfectly within it :D lol

bear

Hmmm have never tried that, will it increase the speed ?

USB is a completely stupid design.

agreed

it shouldnt be the same shape up and down, plus that fact that every board/case maker seems to randomly choose a way of putting it in

i can spend 5 minutes with my hand behind a case trying to get a usb plug in, turning it over and over trying to work out which is the right side

tis ok if you can see, but behind a case it is a nightmare

/tries it on lappy....

Yup it fits nicely and just tight enough to make you think you managed to get it in the right socket My lappys ports are on the side though and I only use the back ones on my tower PC for the printers, which never get their leads pulled.

Try building 100s of pcs for a company who are too tight to supply a KVM.

USB is evil, but after lots of practice its possible to plug em in without looking.
I know sh*ts bad right now with all that starving bullsh*t and the dust storms and we are running out of french fries and burrito coverings.
