even the email system is different, XP, ME and 98 all used outlook Express .DBX, Vista uses a completely different file system, why ?

The only thing Ive found in vista that doesnt seem to work for me so far is the Logitech sidebar gadgets for Words per minute and Error rate. Its not exactly the end of the world or anything but itd be a nice little gimmick to see how Im doing whilst writing loads of crap for work etc

Think the only issue I have with vista is the none uniform folder views unlike xp when you set one folder view it went across the board, vista has a view for different types of files. Gets annoying after a while to set up the folder views for all the different folder types so just hacked the registry to force it to a single view

Xp did that too. I frequently had issues in XP for it deciding a folder was a music or picture folder, when in fact it was a mixed data folder ><
