I hate reading the blogs of pseudo linux-fanboys because this:

Quote from: CommentsI guess thats what you get for using a "BETA" SP, its a beta for a reason.

Highlights the problem with the entire article.

TBH I know plenty of self-proclaimed OS literate people that bitch about Windows but are actually part of the problem themselves in how they use the OS and complain theyve had to reinstall every couple of months. Its just garbage, plain and simple. People like that switch to linux and love it because they are spoon fed every step of the way by guides, and wikis on how to do everything from install the GUI to wiping their backside.

Windows doesnt have that because its so simple to use. It doesnt stop monkiness creeping in though.

The whole hate M$ culture is pretty boring now. Move on geeks, move on boldly to something worthwhile. Like pestering Mozilla to make Firefox stable.

Ita  f***ing beta version, what does he expect?

Its also Vista, and yes it is actually a pain in the arse.  Other than being Prettier than XP, ive found it JUST as suceptable to viruses and malware as XP.  At didalso note his comments about Ubuntu, well im afraid if you pick Ubuntu you better not be using anything unusual.  While its good for newbies, its bloody awful for hardwaare support.   Every time ive attempted to install it the system has had hardware problems to the point it either refused to boot at all, or the system decided that it disliked something enough to refuse to let me install until i removed it (Last time it said i had to swap out my 9700Mobile graphics in the laptop).

I personally use both OSen, though i prefer Linux for general day-to-day computing, while windows is good for gaming and syncing up my phone.  People who "Hate" one OS over another amuse me.  You use what is suitable for purpose, and full-on fanboyism is rather sad to be honest.  The writer of that article seems to me to be a "Mac User", you know the ones, they think that they are better than everyone because they own a MacBook and have a Manbag?

IF its out in the wild then it should be able to look after itself.

Quoteexhaustive testing confirms that Windows Vista is at least twice as slow as Windows XP when running on the same hardware.
