game starts for me now.... not much fun being 70 & only having 80g

cant find anyone to do a dire maul run either. Thought Id take the cheaper option for the 150 riding skill.. then only 1k gold from a flying thing

whats the best way to farm gold? & whats the score with xp now?

Bacon

Primals, i.e. Life, Mana, Fire, they all sell well and are easy to farm, its just how long until you get bored.
On top of this you will get green drops to vendor or disenchant, and the trash loot from a good farming session can rack up the golds.
If your a herbalist, go farm life, you can then herb the giants, and they can drop black lotus which still sells pretty good.

Professions, good way to make money, any of the gathering proffs, just go and farm as much herbs, ore, leather as you can, there is still a good market
on most servers for all the range of materials as some people cant be assed to go farm themselves.

One good way, if you want to make some good money, get your 70 char, and level up a gathering profession, you can do most 1-375 in a days work if you
try your best :D and then sell all the stuff on the Ah. Once done, just cancel the proff and start again, this a good way to bring in constant gold.

Quests at lvl 70, you no longer need / benefit from xp, but what you will find is the quests you still have now have increased gold reward instead of part gold / part xp, so its a good way to make some extra gold.

Daily Quests, you can find these in terokkar forest, shattrath, blades edge mountains etc, doing these will net you say 100g a day, more or less, + drops ofc.

I could go on and on but i wont :P

That covers the best ways to make gold.

Im very lazy and hate farming, so I just go on lots of instance runs. With a decent group you can get 2 or 3 heroics done in a few hours - assuming you dont wipe etc, it can be very profitable (gold, green drops + shards from disenchanted boss drops).

Eggtastico

sounds like to much work.
Ill prob just wont bother playing much until the new one comes out.
Dont see much point doing quests & not getting XP & im not going to farm.

Leon

10-15g for each quest when you 70 is a nice quick way to get some cash (and selling the rewards)

I hate grinding and generally always poor (esp as I play so many alts)

Right, Ive respecd now, and put 15 points in to my protection tree, so hopefully I will be able to tank better.

I know Ive asked about armor before.....but still arent too sure what to go for. Ive been questing a bit in Outland, and have got better gear as rewards! But, I would have thought getting a proper dungeon set would be more beneficial (sp?). So, I thought getting the Dungeon Set 1 would be a start........but it seems pretty poo!! Some of my items, like my helmet already have more armor than the dungeon set helm, and better Stam, Agil etc points too.

So, what would be a good set which will last for a while, and isnt impossible to get? As in.....not needing to run a thousand instancess to get one piece etc??

This is the Dungeon Set 1, which seems quite poo IMO.

D1 was before TBC came out so as you say its a bit poo :P

Just take anything thats an upgrade untill 70, then start looking at what you head towards next (D3 stuff isnt bad at all)

Didnt realise the D1 was before TBC! lol. Shouldnt I aim for any specific armor between 60-70? Or just leave it til like you said at 70, and concentrate on getting the best stuff then?

White Giant

Do all the quests you can, and select gear as and when its offered to you (from quest rewards).

chrisdicko

Cool, cheers. Thats what I have been doing up to now, but didnt know if I was doing it right or not.

Leon

Tis indeed! Keep going :)

Game / Grind starts at 70 :P

found an easy way to make money...

Main Character being 365 & 370 in cloth & leathermaking, I buy up all the leather & cloth & then make the easiest lvl 61 stuff
1st Alt is 298 Alchem & 275 disenchent. I disenchant all the items usually getting 3-4 arcane dust or 1 or essence. Dust sells for 1.25G each & the large essence around 8G
Also buy up any weapons under 10G as they usually have essences - just spent 45G on a few weapons, returned 4 dust & 7 large essences. So an easy 15g in 5mins :-D

Also main is out questing when the AH is quiet & im mailing back all the greens to my alt. The money is rolling in thick & fast. Up to about 200Gold & around 300Gold in value on the AH.
Though that 300g will be reinvested in cloths, leathers & cheap weapons.
Also bought the basic flying mount for 100g

White Giant

Slightly more pr0 advice there, and has been well known to make people some serious cash, especially at later levels (anyone remember Runecloth belts?).

Just seems like loads of effort to me. :D

Eggtastico

well... I made 150g over night :-D
re-invested it in 30 stacks of netherweave cloth that sells for 2.75 during the week & 3.50 at the weekend.

Still have money for any weapons that pop up between now & the weekend

Heres a nice little post made by a chap on the blizz forums regarding tanking :

QuoteI have a total of 18 (mindnumbing) Shadow Labs Normal attemps, just to get one part of the Bold Armor set (the shoulders)! Still I am not for the idea supplied by in OP. Let me explain you why...

When you are new to this game (as a tank) and you havent done any or not much tanking experience pre-tbc, the only tanking lessons you can get here are the normal instance (specifically pre-kara instances).
You can read all the available theory of tanking on ElitishJerks or Wowwiki, yet that is only 25% of what you need to become a good tank. The rest is simply experience which you only get by trying and failing.

There are sooo many tanking lessons and so many things to be aware of. Many say that warriors are extremely gear dependant and that is true, but gear is only the smaller part of the whole picture.

I laugh at my own actions sometimes, especially at the beginning period of my serious tanking career, how naiev and foolish I was. I wiped numerous of times because I wasnt aware of certain things.

I never thought that overgearing a place could be so bad for the group (it is frustrating because you are constantly rage starved at easy trash and are unable hold aggro because of it; reason is, too much avoidance).

What is your best aggro generation move?
How to hold of aggro over more then 6 targets when no CC is available (Shattered Halls and Shadow Labs challenge)?
How to not break any CC with Thunder Clap (warrior issue)?
When to use Heroic Strike as extra aggro move?
When to let and mob run and when to chase it or intervene/intercept him?
Am I in danger of pulling an extra patrol?
Is/are the healers able to keep up?
How/what are the dpsers doing? Are they able to dps well or do I need to move?
Where to move next when this next abyssal drops unlucky? Will my healers still be in reach and out of reach of Shadow Nova (Prince Malchezaar)?
What is the best avoidance stat for the next encounter; Parry/Dodge/Block?
Is that boss a spike dmg danger or can I slack on avoidance and use more threat generation gear?

These questions are just a tip of iceberg that floats under water, but it is very much the things the warrior tank deals with. Paladin- and Druid tanks have many similar issues but also individual issues. You cant learn them all out of the book, you need to experience them. An open mind is required for this and you should be aware that many things are only learned by trial and error (of course at the cost of your party members frustration and annoyance).

Life of a tank isnt about roses, but these challenges make the tanks life so interested.
So yes, I think the existance mentioned issue in the OP is required to be there, hence I dont support the idea which is provided. I hope this is constructive enough.

Maeco
