Well done Lordi

First time Ive watched and enjoyed the Eurovision Song Contest ever. Nice to see a quality act winning the top spot. I remember seeing them at Wacken a few years back and thinking someone was joking about their entry until they turned up tonight.

Absolute quality.

Hats off to Lordi. :D

No suprise for the UK result.  The quality of the song, well I wouldnt even use teh word quality to describe it.  Out entries are allways a complete joke.  utter s***e.

If they want to send pop just send Robbie Williams or someone of his standard and be done with it ffs.

We even played the Eurovision drinking game, lots of fun, though the guy who chose Finland as his country before scoring was a bit green from downing so many pints (you have to down your drink if you get 12 points), but I think he had fun :)

I think Lordi deserved to win TBH. With the present governments relatively low international standing after backing Bush in Iraq I was supprised our carp song got as many points as it did.

We still got five times as many points as France though so something to celebrate at least

Israel only got four so they are even more unpopular

and Malta only just missed out on a zero point finish, finally getting their singleton very late on.

Lordi definately had it won from the start in my view. I was amazed when my brother originally mentioned they were in it a few hours before it started and was cheering for them the whole way through. The other acts were just the same old rubbish thats always put on but Lordi came out and did something completely different, which was needed.

Lithuania were brilliant, a proper mickey-take, they could either have crashed out completely or everyone could have understood the humour - which it seems they did - I was sipping my ale all the way through the scoring as Lithuania always got middling points of 4 or 5 from each country...
