IMO within reason and the price mentioned all makes are roughly the same. Customer support is what you want to go on. The Toshiba mentioned above sounds like a good bet, although they often only have the really good warranty deals on the more expensive models.

Ive been running a Novatech Revo for the last 6 months or so. Intel Core Duo chip, 160GB HDD, 2GB RAM, built in Intel graphics.

Graphics speed isnt up to much but it handles Linux with Beryl well enough, plenty of CPU power for what I need.

Most importantly, Ive contacted their tech support twice for minor questions and they have been instantly helpful in both cases. Cant fault them on anything, least of all the price.
