Right folks - What Im looking for is a broadband package that wont charge me to transfer the service to a new address 6 months or so through the contract (if its a 12 month contract). Ive just spoken to Pipex on the phone who bizarrely would want to charge me the remainder of the 12 months at the first address, then refund it to me at the new address, and make me start a new 12 month contract - which sounds utter crap to me.

Alternative I suppose is a short contract style provider, who wont rip me off for a modem or whatever when I decide to leave in 6 months.

Have a word with Telewest, they seem to be fairly easygoing on things like this.

Bulldog do a 1 month contract, so you could use them for the last 6 months, see if your happy and either cancel and go with someone else or try to transfer.

On PlusNet I am not fixed to a contract, which means moving is a piece of cake.  I have had fantastic service with this guys over the past few months.
