Maria Callas renders my banks site like sh*t.

Do I really want to use M$ rubbish? :/

Ive heard good things about it actually. Is it still tied to the OS like a Siamese twin? Thats why Ive disabled it on any XP installs the past few years.
Well I installed IE7 and then I uninstalled IE7 no problems.
I was under the impression we were all going to be getting it like it or lump it (assuming you have automatic updates) - i.e MS are going to call it a critical security update (which it may well be) and push it automatically over auto-update.

didnt you like it ?
or was that what you were planning to do ?
Ive just installed it and I have to say that it makes browsing these forums a lot smoother / faster than in Firefox :o
WTF does it need SP2 for and WTF is WGA activation and WTF does it need that for?
WTF do I even want to download it for?

Oh yeah, course, Im proper legal, yeah...
its funny I am, x64 cheap as chips to get people to use it so cool :)
Vista though, MY GOD how dumb is MS!
Been using it since this morning, and Im liking it so far.
CPU useage seems considerably higher than IE6, maybe its this lovely smooth font thingy Ive got turned on

I have my reasons. ;)
WGA can be bypassed, but of course I cant tell.

how do you turn that off ?
mine is on, but its killing me eyes !
cant find the button to turn it off :(
IE7 is new and scary :?
found it.... its off.... still doesnt look right to me :(
Try Maxthon, uses IE6 but has tabs etc.
Quote from: Clockd 0NeOh yeah, course, Im proper legal, yeah...
It says mine is legal too but I much prefer something that isnt so closely welded to the OS. Windoze uses it as the windows explorer as well as the Internet Explorer. FireFox FTW!
Opera 9 is nice :)
running quite happy now, just getting used to the address bad being above the menu bad :O
pretty nippy, but I cant really notice the difference over IE6, might notice it more on a slower system :)

running IE7 makes no changes to the way all theother windows etc.. allthough there pretty close, "internet explorer" and "explorer" run as two seperate entities in xp :)
and the first security hole, although M$ are claiming its a problem with Outlook Express it needs IE to work.

Well, been using it for a few days and I much prefer it to IE6.
today it hits as a "High priority Update".
oh dear.
lol im loving it. really loving it :) it rocks!
glad to see theyve finally realised what the rest of us have known for several years
tabbed browsing FTW
I see no actual reason to install it though, since I already have all the new features in Opera and Firefox (deppending upon my mood and how W3C compliant the website is, I use both).
did you need the genuin advantage thing to download this before ?
was sure I didn;t need it when I installed it last time....
just went to download it for my new build and it needs it :o
(obv. i have a legit copy, I just happned to notice this)
Yes you need to validate your WGA.
Loads of my customers dont like it. Some sites dont work with it and built in some multimedia features on keyboards, like the "open web" button that some use.
I just think it caused more problems for some people than it made their web browsing easier and quicker.
Cheers
Tongy
Works fine with every site Ive needed to access on it. Only downside... they appear to have removed the damn "stop" button, so when errant mouse clicks result in you going to a popup hell, you have to wait for it to load, then click back, and close the subsequent popup hell.

Stop button in IE7 :)
lol got shown this today whilst at an office party. We were debating the need for IE7.
First mentioned that there was no refresh button...
that got pointed out to me.
then bitched about the lack of a stop button...
that too got pointed out to me, next to the damn refresh button.
Doh!
firefox.
