Title: Wireless headphones - suggestions please
Post by: XEntity on January 27, 2010, 20:41:21 PM
Looking for some half decent headphones, so I can play games and watch films on the TV without disturbing the Mrs...

I want something that re-charges preferably by putting on a base station but would consider ones you have to plug in, just not ones you need to put the batteries in to a separate charger.

Any suggestions, does anybody use any?

Cheers

Jake

Basics is that every pair Ive tried the sound quality is between bad and dire compared to those attached by cable. If you want to use one I would suggest you try it out before you buy and go off what you want rather than suggestions.

Someones got to ask it...do they HAVE to be wireless or is this just something that would be nice. Quite a few wired phones have extra long cables. I think mine have a 5m cable.

I once had a set of Sony wireless headphones from Argos of all places. The first set barely worked, I returned them for a replacement and had 4 years of amazing service before they finally gave up the ghost - Id often get 12 hours continuous use between charges. I could also get halfway to the local shop before the signal cut out, but I could re-tune to see if anything was being locally broadcast - amazing what people listen to. :)

Never found them again, Ive tried others, much more expensive than those, and they were pants.

OK looks like wired are the way to go, just didnt want the hassle of the cable running across the living room.

So new question...

Which wired headphones, want something that will sound good for movies and COD (not the fish) basically, wont really be listening to music.

Not in ear, comfortable, good sound, not silly expensive ;)

Cheers again!
