Games along the lines of Battlefield, Rainbow Six - Vegas, Delta Force etc....

Yeah itd be okay. Wont play anything at a high res or high settings though.

Crack that 2500 up, chances are itll be a lovely overclocker.

Vegas would be a bit jumpy, really need to go 64bit :)

Im just splashing out soon on a new rig, struggling with what Ive got at the moment (see sig).

Most modern 3d games are going to chew it up and spit it out. For modern gaming I would say use at least a 3800+

For anything else though it should do, make a good server or adequate livingroom multimedia centre.

I was using a similar one, I now have an E2180 instead, which will even run Crysis providing I pull back on the settings a bit. The 2500+ is now in a components bin and will be recycled to my great nephew, when I can be bothered to put the bits into a case.
