Just trying out gdmflexiserver on ubuntu
Never knew it was possible
Ill post a screeni in a bit
edit: forgot the command :whoops: gdmflexiserver --xnest
(http://www.brummie.me.uk/old/uploads/nested.jpg)
Never worked for me, though I can switch users without logging out.
Quote from: dapperThe nested X server (Xnest) is not available, or GDM is badly configured.
Please install the Xnest package in order to use the nested login.
Might have to poke in /etc/gdm/gdm.conf
Its good for me cause we have a few account on this computer. means i can admin from my desktop :woot:
Install it in synaptic - search for xnest
IIRC its "Sabayon" too
EDIT: no its something else
xnest is installed. Could it be a limitation of my vid driver?

any idea when it will be fixed? dont wanna get to comfy with me badger if im going to get a drake :D
Dunno, but you could likely install it after editing xorg to use vesa, and perhaps a kernel boot option. ;) After that, install the proprietary driver.

Dont be so afraid of the
command line/config files, ya wuss! :P
I regularly kill/hose my debian/kororaa installs in some way or stop X from starting, yet I am always able to bring them back to life without resorting to a re-install. :)
A
little shell script never killed anyone...honest. ;)
Wish i had the patience to use linux.... its so shiny
