My missus got me a new Xbox 360 for xmas, and it is the 4GB Slim one....which was full straight away after a game update.

What hard drive do I need to buy to expand it it? As my friend gave me one which 'clips' on top, but mine must be a different model to his as it doesn't fit?!

I don't suppose you can use any random USB hard drive?

I found this: http://www.game.co.uk/en/xbox-360-hard-drive-320gb-151269?pageSize=All&categoryIdentifier=10456&sortBy=MOST_POPULAR_DESC But do you need to take the console apart to fit it, or does it just plug in?

Cheers

And with the latest versions of the OS you can just USB access as well now.
If you want to put that other drive you got in the slim you can:

Or similar but with:

Oh I see! I didn't even realise that little slot was there to be honest. I will take my friends hard drive case apart today then and wack it in :)

I presume it's a normal sata hard drive, but formatted in a special way?

Thanks for the help
