Im after some headphones, not large ones, not small ones but the medium sized ones.
Got no real clue but I do like comfy fitting ones and some nice base.

Here are some i looking at and roughly the price range i want to pay

Any other recomendations would be cool as well as opinions

Dont waste your time with Sony et al, just get a pair of Sennheisers <= budget

Out of those two, the 200s seem better to me, but it depends if you like open or closed cans actually. I know max is a fan of open cans.

Yeah, I love opens, but I listen to a hooge spectrum of music. Everything from Musical scores to hair-metal to Portuguese fado, so the open muffs seem to be more honest with such a playlist. Less sweaty as well.

Closed are good if ya want the funkiest bass, or want to listen privately on the tube. They make my ears get greasy though.

Both of the Senheissers you linked look comfy, though havent listened to those particular models.

Sony usually suck ass with rare exceptions. Ive got a rare set of soft dome tweet bookshelf speaker they made that are crystal clear, but the rest of the range so sounds unbelievably piss poor--like being underwater.

My friend has Sennheiser 497 and he loves them.  So much so, he just bought a replacement cable.  Askdirect.co.uk used to do them cheap but it appears the 497 has been discontinued.

The Etys are good at keeping your ears quite clean really. They come out a different colour if you havent used them for a while

Somewhat like mining equipment for your ears - nothing else goes deeper in em

The 457s are great. Sort of the heir to the original Open Aire Sennheisers. Cheap and a flat response. Not the thing if youre into rumpathumpathump, but easy on your ears for long sessions. :ptu:

EDIT, after reading the Amazon reviews--Im probably thinking of the 497s, as the ones Ive listened to did NOT have boomy bass.

The 497s do cost twice as much. But still not a bad price for good sounding phones.
