Earthenware lovers, what are your opinions?
im a rinser.
a proper teapot is brown imo.
I normally use bag in cup but thats just lazyness. If Im brewing for more than one then it has to be a brown teapot with oolong formosa.
Wash a tea-pot? Only if youre mad.
I give my teacup a wash once a week when the residue starts to peel and form a skin over the current infusion.
I rinse, seldom use a pot though, I use one of these
(http://www.brattberg.com/images/tetang-45.jpg) green earl grey and a water boiler right into a big cup.
:gag:  Im rinser as it removes particulates that I dont want in my iced tea. Brew 1L double strength and cut with equal amount of ice. :ptu:

Ive got a couple of those, they tend to have problems if you put too much tea in but otherwise they are fine :)

You can rise the pot with hot water, thats not the same as cleaning it. It can also ensure better flavour extraction.
rinse it, never ever wash it
And heres me thinking this thread was going to be about a fine beaujolais :x
lol yeah right.
I generally just use a cup but I dont wash the teapot - rinse it sure but not wash it.
how sad i just stick the tea bag in the mug and do it that way who uses teapots unless your being really posh when youve got company?
I just used a teapot solo, because dammit, Im worth it!
