Just curious who here actually puts their real ages in on sites like IGN, or a game site like Gears of War or whatever where content has been rated at 15/18 etc.
This isnt targetted at any members below the required ages as lets just assume you wont be visiting sites which require its visitors to be older than you are.
I always used to enter in my real birthdate, but recently have gotten fed up of the months/days being the wrong way round. What difference does it make if you are 25 and you just scroll down and select something from the 70s etc to speed up the process?
It makes no difference whatsoever, unless they are using these stats for tracking. More often than not its just there to facilitate some legal requirement. I scroll and stab at whatever. :)
Depends what I sign up to or website Im on.
Ill normally just put in anything.
If Im buying something / applying for somthing like credit then Ill put my correct age in.

Yeah, those are really the only two scenarios where it matters.
When just visiting sites / videos that ask for age I just drop down the boxes and select anything that marks me over 18 and be done with it
Just bung anything in. They get provided these trailers and stupid laws and regulations from the countries filming bodies etc stick a rating on. Even though anyone can put any age in and it is not checked they still have to put it in. Daft but a requirement.
I randomly select an age/DoB
I was born in 1901. Its a true fact!
