Eating noises - they drive me absolutely mental. I want to smash noisy eaters faces in when theyre making that horrible lip smacking slapping noise.

Literally, I have to restrain myself from smashing their noses into the backs of their heads !

Dont worry it pees me off too. I can tolerate it if they are closing their mouth and just happen to be noisy, but if they are slapping and chewing like a cow they need to be told to get some manners and close their mouth.

knighty

yep, Im with you 2

when i was a kid we had to sit in the same positions each day for meals... I had to sit next to my fat brother who eats like a pig, slobering and snorting away.... as a result I now never sit down to a family meal unless its an important one... it brings back too many bad memories :(

Poison_UK

People that cant keep their mouth closed while eating.... Arrrggg! Tho I do, do it now and then when Im in a rush to get something down my neck and out the door...

I find it quite ironic that I was brought up to chew with my mouth closed yet when I sit with my old dears for suncay lunch it drives me insane the sound of open mouth chewing.

Wow, this thread has actually been rather enlightening, I thought it was only me being a total arse and I was abnormal in expecting people to eat with their mouths closed. I cant stand people slobbering and chomping away with their mouths wide open, its bloody disgusting and goes right through me like that nails-on-chalkboard sound. I too want to smash their faces in, it pushes all of the wrong buttons.

Totally, were the normal ones. The people that dont are the ill mannered mouth-breathers of the world.

White Giant

People who noisily suck their fingers after eating annoys me more than anything in the world!

addictweb

Its when you first notice it - you cant get it out of your head and you hear every subsequent noise - slop slop slop.

Drives me wild.

I get sickened at people eating with their mouth full and in open view of me, but I have the ability to block any annoyances out and just ignore it.

Rivkid

My g/f goes mad even if you have your mouth closed and chew really soft and slowly! ANY noise whatsoever and your in real trouble. I tend to sit away from her and have the telly on otherwise you just cant eat with her.

Your right though -  people who eat with their mouths open and slop away should be shot!!
Career, Wife, Mortgage... my sig was better when it listed guitars and PC's and stuff!

Seriously, how anal are you people?  :o

Eat like a man, ripping the meat from the bone with your teeth.  :ptu:

Thats fine, as long as you close your mouth while you chew.

Aye its very annoying, even things like people eating crisps and crunching them with their mouths open gets my goat, and you can hear it from what seems like miles away.

Its also annoying when you try and tell people that theyre making lots of noise cause they have a tendancy to a be a tad narked.  My Dads a classic case, told him he was a few years ago he instantly rounded on me and said yeah well at least I dont eat too fast (which I have a tendancy to do) at least that doesnt affect anyone else.

*she-devil*

I have to agree its disgusting, always had to sit next to my gran eating as a kid and that wasnt the best of experiences tbh, was lip smacking and mouth open - shudder -
