Haven't logged on in a few years, thought I'd pop by to see if there was still life around :)

So... I work in the finance side of an ISP, still into computers but not overclocking. Bought my first house 2 years ago, I live with my missus of 6 years and a cat. Any changes with anyone else?

Sounds cosy, man :) I'm doing web design and moved down to Portsmouth, also living with my missus of 4 years now but no pets and can't afford to buy a house yet!

I could afford to buy a house, then i met my partner and had a baby........now we rent

What has made everyone come back then?
What sort of things do you guys think you would like these forums to be to chat about?
Instead of some of the sections maybe we have housing and home DIY sections and things like that considering where we all at?

I will soon be moving to Sidney from Auckland for a new job, I got a Fiancee, I got big things on the cards for this year and will be making heaps of $$$$$$$ but nothing on me now, lol.

I think generally we were all a similar age when we got together, all into gadjets/cars/women/talking rubbish!
Now we are all a similar age still, but work much harder, have less time & money as we do not live at home
Certainly a finance section would be good, keep each other notified in good savings/mortgage/utilites offers.
*i am turning into a sad old man*

Are you still in Sheffield?

Eggtastico

diy section would be good - but prob not practical if unqualified people are trying to tell people how to mend an electrical item.
My fridge packed in a few months ago & I had to change the heat exchange. easy job to do though & my whole house is a homer simpson diy project

I don't think a DIY or Finance section would be needed as there's not frequent enough threads on either really, its the sort of thing that can sit quite happily in GD without spreading out threads too thinly all over again.

Are you still in Sheffield?

Near enough, moved slightly South when I bought my house but still work there. I hear you're back in the UK these days too?

Yeah I moved back to the UK with my wife in 2010. We live in London now. I might move back to America in 2014.
